Salut,

j'ai un portable Asus A2D (Athlon mobile 2600+, radeon 9600 mobility, ...)
quand je lance X, j'ai le message d'erreur suivant
"no screen found"

voici mon fichier /var/log/XFree86.0.log en entier

avez vous unr idée pour faire fonctionner X sur mon laptop?

PS: j'ai essayé linux-laptop.net, mais y'a pas mon modele.

J'ai installé une Debian/Testing sur un portable Asus similaire
(celui de mon fils) il y a 10 jours sans problème.

il vaut mieux avoir un serveur XFree (ou Xorg) récent (ie 4.3 ou 4.4
ou X11R6.8). Et l'important, c'est le fichier /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
J'y suggère de mettre notamment les lignes suivante

Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Radeon 9600"
Driver "radeon"
Option "AGPMode" "4"
Option "EnablePageFlip" "on"

Regardons le fichier de log, et identifions toute ligne contenant WW

En effet il faut que tu mettes à jour ton serveur xfree. Passe en debian
sarge puis apt-get update puis apt-get install xserver-xfree86
Apres utililise le pilotes readon dans ton fichier conf

j'ai un portable Asus A2D (Athlon mobile 2600+, radeon 9600 mobility, ...)
quand je lance X, j'ai le message d'erreur suivant
"no screen found"

voici mon fichier /var/log/XFree86.0.log en entier

avez vous unr idée pour faire fonctionner X sur mon laptop?


Perso, j'ai installé une knoppix sur le même portable que toi et j'ai pas de
problèmes (La knoppix est basé sur une debian sarge)
J'ai installé il y a quelques jours l'acceleration graphique et celle-ci
marche si le paramètre useinternalAGPGART est à "no"

Je vais essayer de MAJ mon XFree et de bidouiller, sinon, je
téléchargerai une sarge ou une knoppix.
